Thinking about hitting up the Music City in 2018? Hotels are going fast, and it can be stressful trying to lock down a reservation that fits your budget and traveling needs. Plus, you’re probably trying to keep costs low since you’ll have a lot of expenses during your time there. Fortunately, we’ve got some tips for making your dream come true at one of Music City’s most popular hotels — the Dream Nashville. Located on Church Street in the vibrant SoBro district, The Dream Hotel is an amazing place to stay if you want to have fun while hitting up all the best things to do in Nashville. Let’s check it out!

Awards and Recognition

First off, The Dream has received countless awards over the years, including being named to Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List for “must-see hotels” and one of the Top 100 Hotels in the U.S. by Travel + Leisure readers. The Dream has also been recognized for its unique design, hosting the American Architecture Award for excellence in design and receiving the Gold Hospitality Design Award from the International Hotel and Restaurant Show. The hotel has also received recognition for its busy events schedule, being named one of the top 10 meeting and event hotels in the U.S. by Travel + Leisure readers. As you can see, The Dream is an impressive place with a ton of awards and recognition to its name - and we’re not surprised!

Beat season to visit

If you can, try to avoid visiting Nashville during the spring and summer months. The city is known for hosting a ton of country music festivals that draw huge crowds. During these times, hotels like Dream will be much pricier, and you’ll have a harder time getting a reservation during a slower season. During spring, you’ll have the added bonus of cooler weather and less humidity!

What’s so dreamy about the Dream?

The Dream is a stand-out hotel, to say the least. From the second you walk in the front door and see the giant rotating Dream bell and carnival lights, you know you’re in for a one-of-a-kind experience. The hotel is full of playful touches and eye-catching design elements that really make it unique and fun. The Dream is also in a great location, just a short walk from Broadway and the famous Honky Tonk Row.

Activities at The Dream

We’ve talked a lot about what you can do at The Dream, but now let’s talk about what you can do outside the hotel. As you may have guessed from the name, The Dream is all about country music. This is one of the best places to stay for experiencing a huge variety of country music and culture. You can attend a show at the Grand Ole Opry, walk the famous Honky Tonk Row, see a show at the Bluebird Cafe, and much more. If you love art, you’ll find plenty to do in the area, too. You can visit the Frist Art Museum, the stunning Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Johnny Cash Museum, and much more.

Pros and Cons

Pro: You’ll be right in the middle of all the action with easy access to all the best things to do in Nashville. Pro: The Dream is a fantastic place to host a group or event thanks to its large space and wide variety of amenities. Pro: The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, making this a great place to stay if you’re visiting Nashville for the first time. Con: The prices are very high and might not fit into everyone’s budget. Con: The hotel can get crowded and noisy, especially during high-traffic events.

Getting there

Nashville is served by several major airports, including the Nashville International Airport (BNA), but the closest airport is the smaller and more conveniently located airport in Smyrna, Tennessee. The Dream is just a short drive from the airport, so you can either rent a car or take a shuttle to get there. If you’re flying into BNA, the best way to get to The Dream is to take a shuttle or taxi. You can also take the Music City Shuttle, which costs $15 per person and runs every 30 minutes. The ride takes about 30 minutes and drops you off a block away from the hotel.

Bottom line: Is staying at Dream Nashville worth the price?

Yes! The Dream is an awesome place to stay and offers something for everyone. Whether you want to relax by the pool, enjoy some bowling, or attend a concert, you can do it all at The Dream. There are a ton of great hotels in Nashville, but The Dream is one of the most unique and exciting places to stay. You’ll have a ton of fun here, and it’s easy to explore the city with the hotel’s great location. If you can afford it, we highly recommend the Dream as the place to stay when visiting Nashville.
