The coco de mer palm is a type of palm tree that grows only in tropical locations with high humidity. It’s an exotic plant that’s found almost exclusively on private islands, so it’s no surprise that the coco de mer and Black Parrot Suites are both located on their own private island: Seychelles. These two hotels are located on the Emerald Island of Praslin, which is one of the 115 natural islands known as the Seychelles archipelago. Each of these islands has its own unique look and feel, but they all share some common characteristics, including beautiful beaches and high levels of privacy. Because they are small properties with only six guest rooms each, guests at these hotels experience a level of intimacy and exclusivity rarely found elsewhere.

Why Stay at These Hotels?

Coco de Mer and Black Parrot Suites are both on their own private island. There’s no other hotel or resort on Praslin, which means that guests at these two properties have the entire island to themselves. Praslin’s beaches are truly stunning. One of the main reasons why people visit the Seychelles is because of their beaches. These beaches are among the most beautiful in the world. They’ve been called the Caribbean of the Indian Ocean. The Seychelles is a great place to relax. But if you want something more, the Seychelles can provide that, too. There are some beautiful gardens to visit, as well as wonderful museums that showcase the rich history of this country.

In 2011, the Coco de Mer won the award for “Best Resort in the World” from the Luxury Travel Magazine. It also won the award for “Best Resort in the World” from the World Luxury Hotel Awards. The Seychelles is a beautiful place to visit year-round, but it’s especially nice from April to October, when it’s warm (but not too hot) and there’s little rainfall. The climate is tropical, so it’s warm and humid throughout the year.
