The Seychelles archipelago is a group of islands off the coast of Africa. They are known for their beaches and as an excellent vacation destination. There are many hotels scattered throughout the islands, but there is only one that we would recommend for couples looking for something more than just a tropical getaway: the STORY Seychelles Resort. To begin with, this isn’t your average hotel. You won’t find it listed in any standard guidebook or online directory; it doesn’t even have its own website. The only way to book a room here is by contacting your local travel agent and arranging to stay at a different property as part of your itinerary — so if you want to stay at the Seychelles Resort, you need to make sure that you book your flights and accommodation elsewhere first!

The Basics

The Seychelles Resort is a 22-room boutique hotel located on the island of Praslin. It has won several awards, including the title of World’s most romantic hotel, based on a survey run by TripAdvisor. It has also been included in Condé Nast’s Gold List for several consecutive years. The hotel is only accessible by boat or seaplane, so if you’re planning to visit, be sure to take that into account. It is a very eco-friendly resort with a staff-to-guest ratio of 1 to 5. The property has preserved the natural beauty of the island by leaving the majority of the surrounding areas untouched. The hotel’s first room was opened in 2002, and it has been growing ever since. It now has 20 Garden Villas, 2 Beach Villas, and 2 Beach Houses. Story Seychelles is one of the only resorts in the world where there are no room numbers. The only other thing you need to know is that there is no elevator.

Awards and Recognition

The Seychelles Resort has won several awards for being one of the most romantic hotels in the world. In fact, TripAdvisor’s survey for the world’s most romantic hotels put it at the top of the list. It has also been included in Condé Nast’s Gold List for several consecutive years. The property has been recognised for its eco-friendly approach and preservation of the natural beauty of the surrounding areas.

Best season to visit

The Seychelles Resort is open all year round, so you can visit any time. The weather is tropical and very warm year-round, with average temperatures in the high 20s. The rainy season runs from November to April. The peak season is during the summer months, when the temperatures are warm and pleasant. This is also when the hotel is busiest and most expensive. The shoulder season is from June to August, when it is busy but not as expensive as the summer months. The least expensive time to visit is during the winter months, when the temperatures are cooler.

Facilities

These include two swimming pools, one of which is open-air and overlooks the ocean. The hotel has a full-service spa with a wide range of treatments, including traditional Seychellois treatments. There is also a gymnasium that offers a variety of classes. The property offers several dining options. The main dining room serves three all-inclusive meals a day, including Asian specialties and a variety of sushi. There is another, more casual dining room for snacks and light meals. And for those who want to keep fit, there’s also a grill for freshly prepared salads and sandwiches.

Activities

If you’re an active couple, you will have plenty of opportunities to explore the natural wonders of the island. The resort offers diving, snorkelling, fishing, hiking, and yoga. You can even arrange a kayaking excursion that takes you to the uninhabited islands in the area. Since the resort is on an island, there are also plenty of opportunities for exploring the area by land. You can arrange for a guided tour to learn about the culture and history of the region. There are also several smaller, uninhabited islands in the area.

Dining

As the hotel is all-inclusive, you have access to an excellent buffet with a wide variety of dishes, including traditional Asian dishes. You can also request dishes that aren’t on the menu, such as special dietary requirements. The restaurant also hosts themed nights throughout the week. If you want to eat outside the resort, there are several options within a short boat ride away. There are also several excellent dining options at the airport, including a Chinese restaurant that is highly rated.

Getting there

The Seychelles Resort is located on the island of Praslin. It is the second largest island in the archipelago, situated about 684 kilometres from the island of Mahe, which is the capital of the Seychelles. The island is accessible by boat from Mahé or by seaplane from several nearby islands. Since the resort is only accessible by boat or seaplane, you will need to factor that into your travel plans.

Pros and Cons

The Seychelles Resort is an excellent choice for couples looking for an escape from it all. The staff works hard to make guests feel special, and there isn’t much to do except relax and enjoy the view. There is no internet connection at the resort, which might be a good or a bad thing, depending on your point of view. What’s certain is that you will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy each other’s company. The resort is eco-friendly and very remote, which means that there is a limited range of activities and dining options. The food is delicious, but if you have dietary restrictions or allergies, you will have to be very specific. And if you want to eat out, you will have to take a boat to the nearest town. This is not a good choice for those looking for a lively environment. It is a great place to go if you want to unwind and slow down, but be prepared to be pampered and coddled the entire time.

Bottom line

The Story Seychelles Resort is one of the most unique hotels in the world. It is a luxurious retreat for couples who want to escape from it all. The hotel is eco-friendly, remote, and very pampering. It is not a good choice for those looking for a lively environment. All in all, it is an excellent choice for couples who want to get away from it all.
