You’ve probably heard about the new Aria Hotel and its jaw-dropping features. The new hotel is located on the same road as the famous New York-New York Hotel and Casino, right across from the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. The Vegas locals are calling it “the new millennial hotspot,” which sounds intriguing. It’s not a secret that most of the hotels in Las Vegas are focused on family travelers, therefore they aren’t the best spots for young adults and solo travelers. That’s why we believe that there is a need for an independent boutique hotel like the Aria. Let us tell you everything you need to know about this amazing new property!

What is Aria Hotel?

Aria is a new and modern hotel that opened its doors in late 2018. It is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, across from the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. The hotel is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International. It is an independent boutique hotel that is aimed at a younger and a more sophisticated traveler. The Aria was built by the same company that built the famous Bellagio and Mirage. This hotel is mainly for the adults and does not have any family friendly options. There will be no kids-friendly pools or playgrounds. The Aria Hotel is the place where you can go to “be yourself,” and you will feel like it’s your home away from home.

Awards and Recognition

Aria Hotel was awarded the AAA Five Diamond Award in 2019, making it the first hotel to receive this award in the city. Aria was also voted as the best hotel in Las Vegas by Travel + Leisure readers in 2019. The hotel’s spa, Ethel M Botanical Skin and Body Spa, was awarded the best spa in Las Vegas by Conde Nast Traveler readers in 2019. The Aria’s restaurant, Wazuzu, was awarded the best Asian restaurant in Las Vegas by Travel + Leisure readers in 2019. In 2019, the New York Times named the Aria as one of the Top 10 New Hotels in the World. The hotel’s boutique hotel, The Mandarin Oriental, was also awarded the best hotel spa in Las Vegas by Conde Nast Traveler readers in 2019.

Best season to visit

There is no best season to visit the Aria Hotel. The weather conditions are constant throughout the year. However, we believe that winter season is probably the best time to visit Las Vegas. You will get the chance to see the famous Las Vegas Strip fireworks. There is no other place in the world where you can get this experience. You will also get the chance to enjoy the warm weather conditions. Although the weather is warm, it’s not so hot to make your vacation uncomfortable.

Amenities

The hotel offers a large variety of entertainment options, including live music, DJs, and shows. The Aria offers two pools for guests to enjoy, including WET, an adults-only pool with iconic water attractions. The Mandarin Bar serves specialty tropical drinks, and Rivea, the hotel's signature restaurant, is perfect for a romantic dinner. The hotel's casino features slot machines, table games, and a race and sports book. The Aria features a spacious meeting room, a business center and 24-hour room service. Additionally, the hotel offers a shuttle to McCarran International Airport (LAS) and a fitness center. The hotel also offers a variety of spa treatments at Ethel M Botanical Skin and Body Spa, including facials and body scrubs. Guests can also enjoy a relaxing massage in one of the spa's heated treatment rooms.

Pros and Cons

As we’ve discussed, the hotel is ideal for an older, more sophisticated traveler. But is it suitable for a family? No. The hotel is clearly not made for families and children under 18 years old are not allowed to enter the premises. There is no kids’ pool, kids’ playground, or a dedicated kids’ area. The kids’ club is also non-existent, which is a big con for families. Another con is that the hotel is not located on the strip but in a residential area. The distance between the hotel and the strip is about 1.5 miles. This might be a problem for those who want to be in the middle of everything the strip has to offer.

Getting there

The best way to get to Aria Hotel is to fly into McCarran International Airport. From there, you can take the airport’s shuttle to your hotel. Depending on where you’re coming from, the flight to Las Vegas takes about 2-4 hours. Air travel times are subject to change due to weather or other factors, so be sure to plan ahead. Another option to get to Las Vegas is by train. You can take the Amtrak Desert Wind train to get there, but you’ll need to arrange transportation once you get off the train. Driving to Las Vegas takes about 12 hours from New York City, 14 hours from Los Angeles, and 16 hours from Chicago.

Bottom Line

The Aria Hotel is a new and modern hotel that opened its doors in late 2018. It is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, across from the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. The hotel is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International. It is an independent boutique hotel that is aimed at a younger and a more sophisticated traveler. The hotel offers a large variety of entertainment options, including live music, DJs, and shows. The Aria also offers two pools for guests to enjoy, and the hotel’s casino features slot machines, table games, and a race and sports book. Guests can also enjoy a variety of spa treatments at Ethel M Botanical Skin and Body Spa. And while the hotel is perfect for adults, it’s not necessarily the best choice for families with kids. With its modern design and endless entertainment, the Aria Hotel is a great choice for a solo traveler or a couple looking for a more sophisticated getaway.
