Sunscape Puerto Plata is a mid-priced all inclusive resort that caters to couples, singles, and families. It’s located about two hours from the airport in the city of La Ceiba on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. The property is also about an hour from Cabarete, so if you’re into surfing it would be an easy day trip. That said, there’s not much else around this area – so keep that in mind when you’re reading this review. This review will address the specialty restaurants, activities available, spa services and accommodations at Sunscape Puerto Plata – All Inclusive. There are some things you won’t find anywhere else – like a buffet that opens up to the jungle with monkeys swinging overhead! Read on to see what we liked…or didn’t like – and why!

Best season to visit

The best time to visit the Dominican Republic is between the months of December and April. This is when you can expect plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. It can get surprisingly cool on the north coast of the DR, so if you visit during this time make sure you have warm clothing.
